With the aim of enhancing the cyber security of smartphones, NCC and the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) coordinated and established the cyber security certification of embedded software of smartphone systems and self-installed applications.

Certified embedded software of smartphone systems or self-installed applications can obtain the Smartphone System Embedded Software Security (ESS) Certification Seal or the Mobile Application Basic Security (MAS) Certification Seal.
