Frequency Use and Reassignment

  1. After telecommunications operators receive approval from competent authorities and are assigned radio frequencies according to Article 54 of the Telecommunications Management Act, they may submit relevant documents to get approval from competent authorities for providing a part of their assigned frequencies to other telecommunication operators or for sharing the radio frequencies with other telecommunication operators. If the radio frequencies are released via auctions or public bids, telecommunication operators may also apply for competent authorities to reassign all or part of their assigned radio frequencies to other telecommunications operators.
  2. Articles 17-22 of the Regulations Governing the Use of Radio Frequencies govern the frequencies eligible to be provided to or shared with other telecommunications operators, their usage, users, limitations, and management. Article 23 governs the reassignment of frequencies to other telecommunications operators. These are the bases for processing applications for use, sharing, and reassignment.
