Online Registration for the “Cash for Everyone” Universal Cash Handout Officially Launches Tomorrow: Register Online for the Most Convenient, Safe, and Time-Saving Option

The Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) and the Ministry of Finance held a press conference today on November 4th to announce the website for the “Cash for Everyone” universal cash handout, 10000.gov.tw, will launch its online registration function at 8:00 AM on November 5th. Members of the public will be able to easily register for the handout from their homes using their mobile phones, tablets, or computers. This eliminates the need to go out or stand in line. After the registration information is verified in the system, the cash will be transferred directly to the bank account designated. Members of the public are encouraged to prioritize this method of receiving the handout, as it is the quickest and easiest.

The MODA stated that the design of the online registration system has fully taken into account user-friendliness and fairness. To ensure system stability and a smooth registration process for everyone during the initial launch period, the first five days of the registration (November 5 to 9) have been divided based on “the last digit of the National ID number or resident permit number,” in which registration will be opened for two digits each day (numbers ending in 0 or 1 for November 5, numbers ending in 2 or 3 for November 6, and so forth). Registration will be fully open regardless of the last digit starting from November 10.

The MODA also explained that online registration only requires three pieces of information: the National ID number or resident permit number of the applicant or the person collecting the handout on behalf of the applicant, an account number at a financial institution, and the applicant’s National Health Insurance card number. The cash handout will be deposited for those who successfully register starting from November 12. Applicants who accidentally enter the wrong information do not need to worry about not receiving the handout. Starting from November 13, the “Check Registration Results” function will be opened on the website, using which applicants will be able to check the progress of their handout. If the results show “Deposit Failed” or “Account Verification Failed,” they can simply return to the website to re-enter the correct information. The online registration period will last until April 30, 2026. Applicants can freely choose a time that is convenient for them; there is no need to rush to complete the registration.

The MODA would like to remind the public that the only official website for the cash handout is 10000.gov.tw, therefore applicants are urged to make sure they are on the right site. The government will not send unsolicited text messages or emails to notify members of the public to register or collect the handout, and will not call members of the public on the phone to instruct them to conduct any monetary transfers at an ATM or using online banking. Anyone who asks for an ATM PIN or SMS verification code is a scammer. Please be vigilant, and do not click on any suspicious links. Furthermore, please contact the 165 Anti-fraud Hotline immediately if you receive any suspicious messages, so that we can prevent fraud together.
