My e-Government Becomes Your Ultimate Teammate—MODA Integrates Real-Time Images Across Taiwan to Ensure Smooth Lunar New Year Travel in the Year of the Horse

To welcome the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday, and to help the public avoid traffic congestion and crowded areas, the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) has launched an integrated Lunar New Year service on the My e-Government website. In addition to compiling land, sea, and air transportation and high-occupancy vehicle control information from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the platform also integrates real-time images from more than 100 popular tourist attractions and urban roads across Taiwan. With just a swipe on a mobile phone, members of the public can check the weather and crowd conditions in various locations at a glance, helping them plan a smooth Year of the Horse holiday itinerary.

MODA stated that My e-Government breaks geographical limitations by providing real-time image guides to major attractions across Taiwan (website: https://www.gov.tw/taiwan). The coverage ranges from Heping Island in Keelung in the north to the Old Paiwan Community in Pingtung in the south, and even includes outlying island ports such as Matsu and Green Island. Before setting out, members of the public can simply browse on their mobile phones to check whether the local weather is clear and to observe the level of crowd congestion at tourist attractions. With the assistance of digital technology, the public can more accurately choose the best time to visit, effectively enhancing the comfort of Lunar New Year travel.

In addition to visualized real-time traffic conditions, My e-Government also features a dedicated section titled “Lunar New Year Transportation and Tourism Guide, eGov Keeps You Informed of Activities Across Taiwan!” (website: https://gov.tw/Cin). This section not only comprehensively compiles additional High Speed Rail, Taiwan Railway, and flight services, as well as freeway high-occupancy vehicle controls and alternative route plans, but also thoughtfully organizes a nationwide map of Lunar New Year–exclusive events, including hot spring festivals, cherry blossom festivals, and Lantern Festival information. Whether traveling by private car or public transportation, members of the public can obtain the most accurate travel information through this one-stop platform and easily plan their Lunar New Year outings.

MODA emphasized that My e-Government will continue to play a pivotal role in government digital services, allowing members of the public to experience the convenience of digital transformation through proactive and thoughtful thematic information curation. MODA sincerely invites the public to make full use of this platform and to share it with friends and family via social media, so that everyone may enjoy a high-quality Lunar New Year holiday together. MODA also wishes people across the nation a happy Lunar New Year and great fortune in the Year of the Horse. May your Lunar New Year travels proceed smoothly all the way.
