As a trend for automation that includes artificial intelligence and robot technology is quickly expanding across the world and in the face of challenges posed by emerging technologies, Taiwan is pushing for the "Five Plus Two Industry Innovation Plan” to stimulate an overall industrial innovation. Additionally, in response to industrial digitalization and intelligent transformation needs talent cultivation and training programs are underway with focuses ranging from education in school, training at work, to general AI talents, while the “Industrial Talent Skill Evaluation” helps integrate training courses with the workplace. Meanwhile, policies such as the “Digital Nation and Innovative Economic Development Program” and the “Taiwan AI Action Plan” improve industry talents’ smart technology application skills, reducing the impact of automation on the job market as new technology creates new job opportunities.

The program strives provide training to professional AI talents to address industries’ demands, cultivating talents for industry smart technology infusion and innovative applications with artificial intelligence as the core. The talent cultivation model comprises of the two concepts of “talents resolving industries’ problems” and “training through courses,” aiming to conduct learning activities that allow participants to “learn by doing” and “do by learning,” while integrating international learning resources and online social learning platforms to strengthen domestic AI talents’ skills and accelerate industry infusion of AI. Additionally, the program works with major international corporations to jointly cultivate AI lecturers and application talents, using international and digital teaching materials and teachers to enhance AI talent expertise and learning outcomes through practical problem-solving exchanges.
