The 2024 Smart City Expo will be held in Taipei and Kaohsiung, starting from March 19th and March 21th, respectively with the ADI(Administration for Digital Industries) Pavilion and Smart City Pavilion, leading 34 Taiwanese companies to build an ADI technology city, and demonstrate AI and smart city solutions among the topics of agriculture, healthcare, governance, transportation, education and more, presenting the AI applications in life everywhere and presenting Taiwan’s smart city capabilities.

CYBERSEC 2023, a major event for cybersecurity in the Asia-Pacific region, will take place from May 9th to 11th at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2. Administration for Digital Industries (adi), Ministry of Digital Affairs (moda) continues to support the development of domestic cybersecurity solutions. It has set up the CYBER TAIWAN PAVILION to implement the policy goal of "Six Core Strategic Industries with cybersecurity industry as a pillar."

This year’s CYBER TAIWAN PAVILION brought together 48 cybersecurity companies to display their products and services. In addition to the standard booths, the venue has four thematic exhibitions, including Zero Trust Cybersecurity, Semiconductor Cybersecurity, IoT Cybersecurity, and 5G Cybersecurity. These exhibits demonstrated corresponding solutions in working from homes, offices, situation rooms, semiconductor production lines, and bank vaults, allowing visitors to experience the importance of cybersecurity and how to apply it in practical situations.

Furthermore, CYBER TAIWAN PAVILION will host the Technology Forum during the exhibition. The topics cover zero trust, semiconductors, and offensive-defensive drills. The speakers will also share the cybersecurity consultation resources from adi, including POCs, Cybersecurity Special Interest Group Promotion, Military-Civilian technology research Program, and Cybersecurity evaluation and tests to strengthen the cybersecurity resilience of various industries in Taiwan.

Event Details:

The ADI(Administration for Digital Industries) Pavilion and Smart City Pavilion will feature Smart City Taiwan Project , together with other digital and application innovation project. This occasion aims to demonstrate smart city solutions among the topics of agriculture, health tech, governance, transportation, education , security and more, presenting Taiwan’s smart city capabilities.

Quadlink Technology, U-Sync Internet Services, Lei Si Yi Agricultural Technology, King Kit Technology, Linker Vision , Netown Corporation, and AdvMeds, Smart City Taiwan Pavilion will also join the pavilion to present Taiwan’s smart applications in a nutshell.

Event Details:

The 2022 Smart City Taiwan Carnival hosted by the Administration for Digital Industries, Ministry of Digital Affairs (ADI, moda) and the National Development Council (NDC) focused on publicizing the bountiful results of the Smart City Taiwan project and the Asia‧Silicon Valley-5G Smart Urban and Rural Industrial Application Project. Smart city solutions for themes such as Taiwan’s nationwide public healthcare, smart agriculture, education, innovative social welfare, 5G smart applications, and digital resilience were on display.

The event invited more than 30 companies and startup teams to showcase their accomplishments. The 2-day expo featured many services relevant to the general public’s daily life. Interactive amusement facilities powered by experimental smart technologies, dynamic multimedia projection shows, and parent-child workshops served to encourage public participation, inviting people to discover advancements in smart technology by participating in this technology carnival.

Activities:2022 DIGI+ X TCA Global Digital Talent Awards #eventoftheyear In order to cultivate interdisciplinary and international digital talents, the Ministry of Digital Affairs has assigned the “DIGI+ Talent Accelerator and Jumpstart Program” and the “Talent Circulation Alliance (TCA) Program” to work hand in hand with 30 Training Institutions, including 15 legal entities and 15 corporates, to cultivate a total of 229 Taiwanese students and 79 international students from 20 countries for the past 6 months. Now, we present to you the 2022 “DIGI+ x TCA Global Digital Talent Awards,” an event showcasing our trainees’ exceptional final presentations, and the event will include activities such as booth exhibition of final projects, project presentation competition, commendation ceremony for outstanding Training Institutions, and the Awards Ceremony. 一、The purpose of the “Innovations Benefit Society – Call for 100 Proposals” project:
The Administration for Digital Industries, Ministry of Digital Affairs (ADI) is seeking creative proposals from the public on the use of information and communications technology (ICT) and non-personal data to create a public good and deliver services of high social value, intending to apply increasingly innovative ICT to current social issues appropriately. ADI gathered experts from industry and academia, and with the “Expert Guidance Group” from the Institute for Information Industry (III), Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER), and Taipei Computer Association (TCA) to provide innovative coaching mechanisms, and underpin the innovative services for sustainable operations.

二、The focal points of “Innovations Benefit Society – Call for 100 Proposals” are summarized below:
(一)The Administration for Digital Industries, Ministry of Digital Affairs aims to cooperate with various sectors to provide innovative counseling mechanisms and encourage service implementation.
(二)Stage one is the “Call for Innovative Proposals” stage, in which a reward of NT$100,000 will be conferred for each proposal. In the subsequent stages (stages 2, 3, 4), the ADI gathered experts from industry and academia to provide support in the form of technical solutions, sites for field tests, and development mechanisms, as well as one-on-one guidance. The final operation verification and sustainable operation bonuses will be 5 million NTS.
