Statistics of Computer and Information Services Revenue in Q1 2026
The computer and information services industry's revenue in Q1 2026 reached a record high for the same quarter, totaling NT$167.93 billion, representing a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 12.21%. Growth this quarter primarily benefited from robust demand for enterprise digital transformation, as industries such as finance, healthcare, and retail accelerated the integration of AI into their operational workflows. In addition, demand for cybersecurity monitoring, fraud prevention and trust technologies expanded simultaneously, driving up revenues in both the computer programming and information services industries.
In the computer programming sector, Q1 2026 revenue reached NT$125.97 billion, up 12.76% YoY. The growth momentum was mainly driven by investments from the semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing industries into R&D and upgrades, boosting demand for advanced engineering services that combine Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation with AI-assisted design. Furthermore, the accelerated adoption of smart systems and process automation applications by clients in finance, healthcare, and retail has further propelled business growth in software development, system integration, multi-cloud hosting, and AI agent applications.
In the information services sector, Q1 2026 revenue amounted to NT$41.96 billion, up 10.61% YoY. The growth momentum stems primarily from expanding demand for cybersecurity monitoring, fraud prevention and trust technologies, and AI governance in both the public and private sectors. This includes the accelerated adoption of zero-trust architecture, as well as the expanded deployment of smart grid Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Security Operations Center (SOC) services. At the same time, the finance and healthcare industries continue to strengthen cybersecurity consulting services—such as red teaming, data leakage prevention, and AI model testing—to address the integration of AI into operational workflows, thereby driving steady growth in overall revenue.
Looking ahead to Q2 2026, the revenue growth momentum of the computer and information services industry is expected to be sustained. This outlook is supported by enterprises' expanding investments in AI agent applications, alignment with government policies promoting digital government and cybersecurity resilience, and information service providers' active expansion into overseas markets and cross-industry application scenarios.
