AI Impact Assessment
To ensure that AI applications account for both social well-being and the protection of human rights, the Ministry, in accordance with the accompanying resolutions passed during the third reading of the AI Basic Act, has collaborated with relevant ministries to complete phased impact assessments and establish a long-term monitoring mechanism.
I. Impact Assessment Reports for Three Major Areas
In accordance with the requirements of the accompanying resolutions, the Ministry has collaborated with the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), the Ministry of Education (MOE), and the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) to complete impact assessments in the following areas. These reports were released on March 22 for public reference:

II. Assessment Mechanism and Implementation
- Risk-Oriented Impact Assessment: At the current stage, a questionnaire based on "Risk-Oriented Impact Assessment" is utilized to solicit the opinions of experts and scholars specializing in children and youth, human rights, and gender. This process assesses the likelihood and degree of impact under various risk scenarios and proposes recommended response measures.
- Standing Assessment Mechanism: The Ministry is deliberating the establishment of a standing assessment mechanism to regularly review the impact of AI applications on the rights of children and youth, human rights, and gender, thereby continuously strengthening protective measures.
