2026 CYBERSEC Taiwan Grand Opening–Chih-wei Ho, Deputy Secretary-General to the President, Represents President Lai in Support of the Taiwan Cybersecurity Pavilion
Asia’s largest cybersecurity event, 2026 CYBERSEC Taiwan, officially opened today (May 5) at Hall 2 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The Administration for Digital Industries (ADI) under the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) is participating this year under the theme “Building a Cybersecurity Trust Chain.” The Taiwan Cybersecurity Pavilion brings together 59 leading Taiwanese cybersecurity companies, showcasing the strength and innovation of Taiwan’s cybersecurity industry. Chih-wei Ho, Deputy Secretary-General to the President, visited the event today to express his support. Guided by representatives from ADI and industry leaders, he visited the exhibition and witnessed how cybersecurity technologies are being applied across different industries. He also praised the close cooperation between government and industry as a key force in protecting Taiwan’s cybersecurity.
To help the world better understand Taiwan’s technological capabilities, the Taiwan Cybersecurity Pavilion is organized around three main themes: Trust Root, Trust Operation, and Trust Application. Each section presents practical solutions to real-world industry challenges. As the European Union’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is scheduled to take effect in 2027, Taiwanese companies are preparing to meet international compliance requirements. In the Trust Root zone, ITRI and TISSA demonstrate the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) Security Compliance Platform, which helps companies conduct self-assessments before launching products and ensures compliance with global security standards. The exhibition also features technologies related to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and chip security, while collaboration with SEMI promotes SEMI E187 Semiconductor Equipment Cybersecurity Certification Program and strengthens global supply chain security.
The Trust Operation and Trust Application zones focus on the integration of cybersecurity with AI and smart manufacturing. One featured example addresses cybersecurity needs in human-machine collaboration environments such as elderly care. A robot manufactured in Taiwan by TOYO ROBOT integrates an edge AI computing platform from ASRock Industrial, certified under international industrial cybersecurity standards IEC 62443-4-1 and 4-2. It also combines the PQC fingerprint security key from AuthenTrend and a PQC security chip from WiSECURE Technologies to provide strict identity and device authentication. Together with the VISTA AI Cybersecurity Monitoring Platform from Billows Technology, the system helps ensure safe and secure robot operations. The exhibition also showcases AI-powered cybersecurity detection and protection solutions for hybrid IT/OT environments. Combined with digital twin technology from SyncKey Technology, these solutions strengthen the ability of critical infrastructure and manufacturing sectors to respond to and recover from complex cyberattacks, improving overall operational resilience.
2026 CYBERSEC Taiwan and the Taiwan Cybersecurity Pavilion will run from May 5 to May 7 at Hall 2 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. A series of special events will take place during the exhibition, including Technical Exchange Sessions (Trusted Robots Trend Discussion & Post-Quantum Migration Guidance Session), International Business Expansion Strategies and Investment and Funding Matching Sessions. ADI stated that the Taiwan Cybersecurity Pavilion is not only a platform for showcasing industry achievements, but also a window for the world to see Taiwan’s cybersecurity talent and technological strength. Moving forward, ADI will continue investing resources and supporting international collaboration to help build a safer and more resilient digital future.
