Vision Get Wild Marks 16th Anniversary, Leading Taiwan's Digital Creativity onto the World Stage in Collaboration with Ministry of Education to Build a Talent Cultivation Platform
Taiwan's largest and most influential digital content event, the 2026 Vision Get Wild (VGW), opened its doors at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from May 28 to 30.
This year's VGW Award is once again co-hosted by the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) and the Ministry of Education (MOE). Marking its 16th milestone, this edition received entries from 59 schools, 107 departments, and 1,188 works spanning diverse fields including games, animation, interactive design, immersive experiences, and AI applications. With over 40 participating exhibitors, VGW serves not only as a premier launchpad for Taiwan's digital design talent to enter the market, but also as a showcase of Taiwan's systematic strength and international competitiveness in the digital content sector.
At the opening ceremony, Minister Yi-Jing Lin (林宜敬) of the Ministry of Digital Affairs stated that MODA has long regarded talent cultivation as a core mission. Developing professionals with AI application capabilities and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills has become a defining factor in the competitiveness of the digital content industry. Through VGW, MODA continues to build a critical platform for digital design talent to enter the market, while helping emerging teams gain overseas validation and testing opportunities. The event deepens industry linkages to establish a complete talent support pathway encompassing competition, creative pitching, investment matching, and international outreach.
In response to industry trends and to enable digital content creators to leverage AI tools in their production workflows, MODA invited Brogent Technologies to introduce the "AI Video Content Creation Award" this year. This new category encourages participants to deepen narrative skills and engage with AI-driven production processes. Combined with on-site world-class "Flying Theater" equipment, it integrates realistic sensory simulation technology with AI to create a forward-looking environment for hands-on creation and validation—showcasing Taiwan's top-tier immersive creativity and capabilities. To further strengthen international interaction, this year's event also features the "Taiwan-Japan Indie Game Interaction Zone," co-curated with Japan's BitSummit Indie Game Festival and PARCO GAMES—a gaming brand established by a prominent Japanese department store—bringing the latest acclaimed Japanese indie game works to engage in creative cross-cultural dialogue with outstanding Taiwanese indie game developers. These are among the most compelling highlights of this year's exhibition.
Building on last year's inaugural cross-ministerial collaboration with MOE, MODA once again joined forces to present the "Future Sports Pavilion." The pavilion features the CES Innovation Award-winning smart basketball court by NeuinX, as well as the "PRODIGY Seven-Sense Decoding" fitness challenge jointly developed by laboratories at National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). Integrating Extended Reality (XR) and advanced data analytics, the pavilion demonstrates the talent cultivation outcomes and hardware-software integration capabilities of cross-disciplinary student teams from engineering, computer science, mechatronics, and design programs. MODA also connected digital content industry mentors to participate in the " Taiwan Next Design Alliance (TNDA) " a collaborative initiative offered by 31 colleges and universities, utilizing industry-practice project-based curriculum design to cultivate digital content talent at the grassroots level.
The 2026 Vision Get Wild brings together the nation's most passionate and original creative works, allowing young creators to be refined and inspired by industry professionals, injecting greater vitality and innovation into Taiwan's digital industry. The public is warmly invited to visit the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from May 28 to 30 and witness the shining moment when Taiwan's top emerging talent steps onto the world stage.
