ADI Leads Eight Taiwanese Digital Platform Companies to Japan Expanding Taiwan-Japan Collaboration in AI, Digital Transformation and Smart Services

In response to the rapid development of global AI applications and the trend toward software platformization, the Administration for Digital Industries (ADI) under Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Affairs led eight Taiwanese digital platform companies on a visit to Osaka, Tokyo and Sendai from August 17 to 21 as part of its efforts to support internationally competitive Taiwanese companies in expanding overseas. The delegation includes Turn Cloud Technology, Vpon, Toplogis, TXOne Networks, KKday, FunNow, Cyberbiz, and WishMobile, and focuses on AI applications, digital transformation, smart retail, tourism services and supply chain solutions.
Jiunn-Shiow Lin, Director-General of ADI, said the global software industry is increasingly moving toward scalable platform-based models. ADI is supporting companies with proven applications and international growth potential by connecting them with overseas enterprises, local partners and real-world business environments, helping Taiwan’s digital platforms and solution providers reach broader markets.
In Tokyo, ADI worked with Taiwan’s National Development Council to facilitate the participation of Taiwanese companies in the 5th Taiwan-Japan Innovation Summit on August 18. A dedicated session brought together TXOne Networks, Turn Cloud Technology, Toplogis, and Hitachi Solutions to exchange practical experience in cybersecurity, operational data and smart logistics, highlighting Taiwan’s capabilities in cross-domain integration and enterprise solutions.
During the visit, Turn Cloud Technology also signed a memorandum of understanding with ITEC Hankyu Hanshin Co., Ltd., a member of the Hankyu Hanshin Group, with Director-General Lin witnessing the signing. The partnership will combine Hankyu Hanshin’s retail environment and business resources with Turn Cloud Technology’s capabilities in membership management, POS, marketing and operational data integration, creating a new model for Taiwan-Japan digital platform collaboration.
ADI also organized one-on-one business matching sessions in Tokyo, attracting over 20 Japanese companies to explore cooperation in AI, smart retail, tourism and enterprise digital transformation. The delegation later visited the Miyagi Information Service Industry Association (MISA) and the Sendai City Industrial Promotion Organization to better understand local demand for digital transformation, AI and tourism applications, while exploring opportunities for Taiwanese platforms to participate in local Proof of Concept (PoC) projects and business applications.
ADI said it will continue supporting Taiwan’s software and digital platform companies through international business matching, international partnerships and real-world validation opportunities. By strengthening public-private collaboration, ADI aims to bring more Taiwanese AI and digital services into global markets and deepen long-term digital industry cooperation between Taiwan and Japan.
