The computer and information services industry’s revenue in Q2 2026 reached NT$176.72 billion, maintaining steady growth, up 13.59% YoY. The cumulative revenue in the first half of the year was NT$344.65 billion, up 12.91% YoY. The revenue of Computer Programming, Consultancy and Related Activities in the first half of the year grew 14.63% YoY, while Information Service Activities grew 8.03% YoY. The growth this quarter was mainly driven by AI-related investments by the public and private sectors, which have driven demand for IT infrastructure, system upgrades, and software services. Coupled with the steady growth in demand for cloud platforms, data exchange, and information security services, the industry’s overall revenue has shown further growth.

The revenue of Computer Programming, Consultancy and Related Activities was NT$132.84 billion in Q2 2026, up 16.47% YoY. Agentic AI technology and applications are gradually being incorporated into the IT systems and workflows of enterprises, driving demand for software development, cloud adoption, data governance, and professional services. Meanwhile, semiconductors, high-tech manufacturing, finance, and government continue to drive investment in AI infrastructure, IT system upgrades, and AI-powered operations. The increase in demand from overseas expansion and cross-border operations of enterprises has also contributed to the growing demand for software and professional services.

The revenue of Information Service Activities in Q2 2026 was NT$43.88 billion, up 5.67% YoY. As digital operations become the norm for enterprises, demand for continuous services, such as cloud platforms, data exchange, and system maintenance, has shown steady growth. In addition, the continued expansion of AI applications has led enterprises to enhance cybersecurity risk management and AI governance, increasing the demand for cybersecurity monitoring, threat detection, and application security services.

Looking towards Q3 2026, demand for AI applications, cloud platforms, system integration, and cybersecurity services is expected to persist as enterprises keep executing their IT budgets, and the computer and information services industry is expected to maintain its growth momentum as the government continues to build the infrastructure for smart government and digital resilience.
